Intel's world does not revolve around AMD in the same way that AMD's world revolves around Intel. Intel has many other business lines that do not compete with AMD

All those other product lines are completely irrelevant! They have never made a dime and probably never will.

100% of Intel's profits come from products that compete not only head ON with AMD but will severly get affected by a stronger AMD competitive position COMBINED with an AMD that looks like a WINNER.

Now Intel can't do anything about AMD's product positioning (At least in the short run when their desktop and server products essentially suck and they have fallen flat on their face to make the PC CPU biz proprietary), but they can do a lot about the other part (and my and a lot of others' opinion is that they do- but I believe that your position is that they don't).
