The wealthy can insulate themselves from societal turmoil, but only up to a point and at an exponentially increasing cost for each increment of protection.

I know from my family experience that ultimately the only protection which wealth provides is a ticket out of the country and a modest fresh start in a more stable nation.

The wealthy inevitably lose most of their wealth in this transition due to factors of discounting and loss caused by the very factors that lead the wealthy to book passage out of the country.
