Lizzie -

I completely agree. There were many who said the iPod's original 5GB capacity was overkill, because it was so easy to download different songs to the much cheaper flash-based players that were available then. So you could just load up 8 hours of music and go.

I said, basically, "No way I want to do that. Let me put a TON of music on the device, and it becomes much more useful for me. I don't want to hassle with figuring out what I might be in the mood to listen to on a long flight."

I love my 20GB iPod. I might buy a Shuffle for special-purpose use. But I will definitely upgrade to higher-capacity iPod at some point. More is more.
