Jay, if China and Russia do nothing and conduct no manoeuvres on Taiwan, then there won't be any problem. There won't be any more violence. There was violence, as you say, once upon a time, unleashed in China and Taiwan, by now long-dead people. It is perverse to start the same thing again now, to no good end and many bad ends.

The two nations are not planning on resisting any violence, because nobody is intending to attack China, which everyone is happy to leave on their own to run their own show as they see fit, buying and selling from the rest of us as we see fit and they see fit.

It's very simple.

The threats are emanating from Beijing, directed at Taipei, with waggling of wings, strutting of spikey legs, and fluffing of feathers.
