you can store porn and pictures of your ex gf and all kinds of stuff.

If I were a Freudian I would say keep going, this is all very revealing. But since I'm not, I'll just say that you can store all the same stuff on a thin client system (for example using a smart-card-based encrypted file system or a half-dozen other ways) with complete security--or at least, if you work for a corporation, as complete as your employer chooses to allow you.

Is it more secure on a peecee? Hell no. Plenty of people have been and continue to be canned for storing porn on their office peecees. The porn collection on a poorly-secured office PC is DEFINITELY LESS secure than it would be on a well-secured NC system.

The obstacles facing NC's today aren't technology or cost, they're mostly marketing.

But one thing's for sure, Apple's mini will kick some serious butt and switch a lot of Windows users to Mac. It's not one of their swing-and-a-miss products. And the many people who are bad-mouthing the iPod shuffle must be dreaming. Unfortunately right now AAPL is a single-stock bubble...and will certainly get even more that way<G>.

I suppose. And once your machine is compromised by the latest worm, those pictures of you and your gf can amuse the world.

JMHO.
