Just in case we forget, "previous admin" NOW refers to GWB's 1st term

No, it still refers to Clinton's administration. When people want to distinguish between 1st and 2nd terms, they say 1st or 2nd term, not "previous administration"

I should have said "the 90's Admin and Congress, just to be clear.

In many ways, I don't know why he is "sticking his neck out"....the problem won't be here for at least another 30 years. Plus, having to constantly fight people for them to pay any attention, has to be so very wearing.

Of course, Bush and the sensible ones in Congress could put in an IQ qualification for anyone who thinks they should manage even a portion of their "own" Social Security fund. Can you just imagine how many people might want to do this, and how many are totally unqualified in any way to do it? Heck if they can't pass a basic college prep test from HS, what would make anyone think they were capable...

Now, you realize I said that with tongue firmly planted in cheek, don't you.

The bottom line is, either we fix Social Security, or we don't. If we don't, it won't be there in about 30 years.
