I wait six months for a routine checkup -- but that's 'cause I have a really popular doctor. I'm probably the exception. That 6 months for a Pap could be an exception as well.

My customers are almost all very busy physicians. Not ONE would have to put a patient off for months, even on a routine physical. Not one. A family practice doctor who can't work in a physical within a few weeks isn't just busy -- he has other problems. In the United States, that is.

The bottom line is that the American people would have to be certifiably stupid, after watching the mess that has become Social Security, to sign up for Single Payor healthcare. I don't think they'll do it.
