I am in 100% agreement with your preferences. However, I don't know when it will float to the top of Bob's list again, or for that matter if he has any plans to change the current behavior.

I agree with your ignore suggestions. When I want to ignore somebody I don't want to see their posts, period. I don't mind seeing other peoples' responses to their posts however. I believe that's how it worked with the old SI, and I would favor going to that mode.
But at least, ignore is working again which is a step forward.
