At least the chickens, who are reared by the Amish, I believe, have nice, outside lives before they die. Oh my gosh, I almost choked when I read that line!! What is that later quote you made in that post, something about "There are a lot of rationalizations people make" Have you ever been to an amish farm?? Or are you just believing all the happy crap you read about the Amish way of life??? Hey, you might actually have a point, thinking about it Amish chickens may have a better life than Amish children. In the fall when I drove past that Amish farm, I can't remember now if the children were sitting in the pig pen or the nice cozy outdoor chicken pen........
