So, you can see that credibility isn't a prerequisite for competing and doing well in this industry.

Brilliant observation, Mq., and one which we should strive to capitalize upon.

It seems that Q is playing catch up [and very weakly at that] since success in the industry, if the Nokia [WCDMA in millions, commercialized by 2002; DO is a fraud] and ERICY [we invented CDMA, at least until Q's lawyers made us eat crow] examples are any guide, being credible is inversely related to financial success.

By these standards, Thornley needs to be chastised for not lying enough. IMJ needs to take regular courses in Advanced Hyperbole. He also needs to regularly attend a re-education camp, much like those set up by Pol Pot, so that he can be forcefully reminded that saying things like "WCDMA by '05" are deeply hurtful to the stock price. "Truth sucks" needs to be made the corporate motto. Plus, Q needs to adopt this guy as the corporate mascot:

helga.simblogg.is

Go lyin' Q! Lie your heinie off!!!!!!

I propose Q set up a Lies Department, start really fudging MSM delivery dates, tell the world GSM is toast, etc.

If Q can experience what the other liars have, we can expect the stock price to go astronomical.

My story and I'm sticking to it.
