It depends which way you go, but I80 is probably the best except that it's a little longer. Of course, as long as we don't have any new snow then, there are a couple of alternate ways: rte 431 out of south Reno, and US 50 out of Carson City (30 miles south of Reno).

BTW, I think I misspoke on the location of Donner. It is actually 35 miles west of Reno, not east. Everything else is correct in that e-mail.
