Thanks to Neo: <Here we disagree. The UN is reformable, I grant, but it is not the right sort of idea. We need an amalgamation of democracies, preferably anglophone, to establish the right cultural framework for concerted federal action. We need a confidence building period to permit all sovereign parties to adjust to multi- lateral institutions that might lead to amalgamation. We need to establish a constitutional framework towards the end of the international process, not the beginning, once a partially secession of sovereignty is worth contemplating. We need an orderly process of expansion, permitting non- anglophone membership ultimately. Frankly, until Canada and the United States are able to merge, all bets are off.> Sadly, Mqurice
