I wouldn't expect so much engagement from you on such a minor matter.

Who is the matter "minor" to? You said you had collected a number of news stories on the topic. Thus, it obviously matters to someone.

It matters to me because church-and-state issues seem to have come to the fore lately, and that intrigues me, so I try to keep up with them.

The question I am trying to ask, let me try asking it another way, is what causes you to say that Bush is "dismissive" of non-believers? What has this particular president said that is different from what any other president has said that causes you to say he, in particular, is "dismissive" of non-believers?

It must be that liberal application of that nuance thing again.

Bush has never uttered a negative or dismissive word about
non-religious people, yet you have divined the "president's
dismissive attitude"
toward non-religious people & have
concluded that "fosters prejudice against them" & find him
personally at fault.

You are right about one thing though. We have a vast chasm
in our differing interpretations of nuance.

I see nuance as the butterfly flapping it's wings in chaos
theory - something subtitle added into the equation with no
perceptible effect on the environment.

You see nuance as incorporating every conceivable alteration
to the environment to arrive at a level 5 hurricane on the
other side of the globe.
