Natural variation occurs, but it is not a fact that natural variation plus time explains the origin of species. That is a grand leap. Despite the amazing advances in genetics, we still only dimly understand the grand scheme of life. There are probable processes in play that we haven’t even dreamt of yet. But there is certainly more involved than random mutation and eons of time. That is as much superstition as L. Ron Hubbard’s explanation.

I got nothing against the theory of evolution, I even believe it myself, BUT what caused that SPARK for a MOUSE to be turned into a MAN. I sure hope it was GOD, cause I hate to think of myself as a glorified MOUSE. jdn
