NEW YORK, January 13 (newratings.com) - Analyst Joel Wagonfeld of First Albany reiterates his "buy" rating on Apple Computer (AAPL.NAS). The 12-month target price has been raised from $72 to $83.

In a research note published this morning, the analyst mentions that the company reported its F1Q05 EPS significantly ahead of the estimates and the consensus, driven by robust gross margins and expense leverage. The analyst expects Apple Computer's new products to boost revenue growth in the forthcoming few quarters. The EPS estimates for FY2005 and FY2006 have been raised from $1.68 to $1.98 and from $1.95 to $2.20, respectively.
