Very pertinent article... Iraq will emerge after elections as a new republic where Baathist will be far weaker, a minority ruling majority was hallmark of Saddam's 'stable ferocious' Iraq, we are moving towards a Shiite-Kurd dominated Iraq representing the mix of population as it exists on ground. This is what democracy is all about. I will like to predict a huge turn out in Iraqi election in Shiite and Kurdish dominated republic, the Shiite rule in Iraq is led by quietist Shiite which unlike their Qom brothers does not believe in political activism.
