[They are going to remake a movie of "Get Smart" this year.] No kidding, how 'bout that and 'bout time. ["Would you believe" that Jim Carrey is Maxwell? The problem I have with Carrey is he is always goofy while Don Adams always seemed like a straight guy who fell into goofiness.] I agree. Not a big Carrey fan, can take him or leave him. Always too straight up, in your face without much subtlety (though I haven't seen any of his recent stuff - think the Grinch might be the last one I saw). I don't know who they should (have) cast though. So we get the "missed it by that much" line again. Alright. And, that fiberglass sound-proof thingie they used. Hope they get someone cool for "99" <g>. Oh, and Smart's shoe phone too. [Getting a good Siegfried will be the tough part. Bernie Koppell was perfect as the evil genius from Kaos.] That's right. Key figure to cast correctly. Just saying "Siegfried" makes me laugh as I hear it like this German teacher I had back in high school (Herr Bannenehr). And, "KAOS" rotfl. [Horst Buchholz was a huge teen-idol star in Germany and he played the Mexican kid who went north to recruit and join the Mags.] Hmm .. only German I can really think of is the Knightrider and Baywatch dude. [He directed one of my favorite Robert Redford movies, Little Fauss and Big Halsey.] I remember that a bit, Michael J. Pollard who was in a million different things over his long career. Maybe still going .. [And he married Peggy Lee, among others, giving her Fever, I suppose. <G>] haute cool .. Fever, done by everyone .. Elvis covered it as well .. classic ..
