I think they mean dog in the sense of earnings...but we don't know the whole story yet...if AMD continues to be capacity constrained it will be a dog...if AMD has plans to expand like I think they do AMD will make them look stupid...

That 7 year chart you linked is quite unique in that the start chosen, results in the stocks being nearly equal ( % gain/loss) ON YEAR BOUNDARIES. 2000 was the most off, but both stocks are changing rapidly.
