I don't want to be "right" -- it means everything into the crapper -- not just here either.

To what extent did savers in Japan have a choice about what went where?? -- I really don't know that much about what happened.
I do know they went overboard with fiscal stimulus and still they have failed to produce increased prices.

Bond bears keep looking at what holders need to be compensated for bearing risk of default or the risk of currency swings or rising prices -- but the risks are much different in a serious contraction when the price of real assets are falling hard.

Can you imagine what it would be like if the US defaulted on treasuries?? I mean c'mon ...
