Even if you stick with Windows, I can't understand people who don't need to use Explorer but still use it. Firebird is a nicer browser anyway. And Thunderbird is there too. Or Install Linux for free and forget about viruses. Windows is toast.

I agree with all you say except the last sentence. As much as I'd like to believe that, it won't happen.

No no. Roxio is Toast. Windows are...all washed up? :-)

Interesting you bring up the construction business...
Problem is that there are "necessary" software packages only
available on Wintel for CAD and the like. Sure a few Mac packages,
but the significant ones are on PC. Perhaps once Macs reach some
critical mass the vendors that went PC only will port their wares back to
Mac.
