That is fair reasoning for the most part. But rehashing the grotesque Republican flogging of Kerry during the lost election and demonizing Bush only detracts from the good points you make.

Your Bush causation-hypothesis is an emotionally-based value judgment not a logical conclusion. Let’s admit that one man, not even the President, who you may despise, nor Al Greenspan has control -- albeit Bush is a contributing variable for both good and bad. The game Bush plays at this juncture of world history is difficult and the outcome uncertain. Thus far I think he has triaged and addressed the situation pretty well.

If you are saying you hold gold because it is profitable, undervalued, and varies favorably as a function of a weakling economy, currency, and worldwide instability -- who could disagree.
