You seem determined to change what I said into something you would prefer that I said. Ability to prevail, per se, is not a mark of sovereignty, although clearly one should be able to mount a credible defense against mediocre threats, at least with external aid. A defeated government may assert sovereignty, and seek restoration.

As it happens, I would probably have favored a binational state in the '30's, until I saw its futility. And the only reason I see for negating a right of return to native Arabs is security concerns created by the Arabs themselves. I am very sorry that it is so, but the Palestinians' relentless hostility and murderousness has created the situation.....
