I do remember Bush making a big deal about including Muslims and Sikhs and so forth after 9/11, when all the yahoos were foaming at the mouth about "ragheads." Seems like most, maybe all, presidents do a little bit of pro-forma multifaith, multiethnicity, and various permutations on multiculturalism. Isn't there a photo of Truman in a war bonnet? I found one of him holding a war bonnet, but seems like I remember a photo of him wearing it, looking embarrased.
