Proposing that palestinians should pay for the crimes of the nazis will not sell to very many people, and especially not to palestinians, so no point in going down that road .... by 1948 the war had been over for three years, there was no longer threat to jews in Poland or Hungary or anywhere in Europe, the nazis had been defeated, life was not at all an existential struggle for jews - until zionists made it so for themselves, and for all other jews in Palestine Blowing up the King David hotel - what the hell was that about? ... there were thousands of terrorist incidents, the british spent considerable blood and treasure keeping the peace in Palestine, they took hundreds of mortal casualties along the way .... did they get thanked for that help, oh no, zionists didn't want help that led to peace, they wanted to keep flooding foreign jews and arms into the place until they had the numbers to carry it by storm There would have been no war in Palestine in 1948, but for the existence of zionism, an ideology in which violence is inherent, proposing as it does that one group with a whacko religion take lands from another group with a whacko religion .... you have repeated so much about how defensive were the actions of zionists at this time, well it's just more partisan propaganda imho, and pretty transparently false, because all you have to do is look at before and after maps to see it was an expansionary land grab .... but perhaps you have documented evidence of jewish villages ethnically cleansed, jewish homes bulldozed, jewish orange trees destroyed? ... not that that would excuse ethnic cleansing of your own, it would just back up your history-by-victors version a little
