LB,

This is so wrong. That A bundle of enriched-uranium fuel-rods that could fit into a two-bedroom apartment in Hells Kitchen would power the city for a year must be stored for 20,000 years when depleted.

If all our power was from nuclear reactors we would fill Yucca mountain in less than 10,000 years! Its a crisis - a catastrophe!

On the other hand - today we power the cities with coal. The mining of it levels mountains and fills valleys in West Virginia on an ongoing annual basis.

So it seems that our environmentalists believe strip mining and acid rain is the solution.
