I agree but I would not be surprised to see the SAs start to rally on a strong U.S. dollar as long as gold stays above $400 (meaning the Rand and Euro are relatively weaker than the POG). There certainly seems to be less risk here in some of the large cap SAs and it seems to be a good place to start if one is skittish. I totally agree on KGC. It could have one more thrashing but sometime this year is should at least double from here.

dude, looking at the longer term chart of KGC ...
MACD - bottom usually forms when it moves below -.25
RSI - bottom usually forms when it moves below 30
ADX - bottom usually forms when -DI is above 40

none of this has happened yet at this time ...
do you think this time is different ???
I don't want to bet on being different this time, I expect at least another 10% lower from this one before the final bottom, looking for entry below 6 ...
the close on Friday of 6.66 does not make me too comfortable either <ggg>
