How a Swedish engineer saved a once-in-a-lifetime mission to Saturn's mysterious moon

By James Oberg

Sometimes those Europeans are not that dumb. At least not the ones from Snowbear Country...

However, that's how those with whom you align yourself think of Europeans. They consider them to be dumb, effete pervs who would still be fighting the Dark Ages if it weren't for American know how and strength. Americans are just naive enough to be believe the day of the European is over just as Europe reinvents itself as the EU.

And Americans also think that China and India could never catch up to us........that they are too poor and too communistic to match us. How very wrong they are. While we piss away our money and resources on this ridiculous war on terrorism and the Iraqi war, the rest of the world is making real strides in matters that are much more important.

Of course, you should know better but you've fallen for all the capitalist BS hype vs socialistic Sweden crap that our conservative press puts out like clockwork. And you have bought into the decidedly American notion that America has all the answers. Well, I'm here to tell you that it does not. The Harrises and the DRs are the least informed in this culture. If they have ever been outside this country, its been a very quick trip and not that pleasant an experience for them. Xenophobia runs rampant among these folks and they like believing we are supermen/women when we are not. They can't see beyond their American noses that the world offers other possibilities that are as good and, God forbid, maybe even better that what America offers. Unfortunately, they are not stupid and have taken control.

So tell me, expatriate, when has it been good for the less informed, less talented, less democratic to lead an entire nation?
