Some of the sentiment I see now is similar to what I recall about the homebuilders 3+ years ago.

Economic worries, fear of cyclical stocks, etc. Some of those same people lived to regret shorting these stocks. I regret not going long as many of them have doubled and tripled since the year 2001.

It appears many E&P's are valued at $30 WTI and $5 NG. What happens if the market gets comfortable with $40 WTI and $6 NG?

PTEN NBR BJS are discounting a large decrease in land activity in 2005. The next leg up in these stocks IMO not far off, once the news about aggressive application of day rates and the long list of customers waiting to pay up is realized 2005 will be the year the land drillers lead the sector up.
