Yeah, I sure stirred up a hornets' nest of trouble with this: The apparent desire of American education "experts" for all kids to become doctors or engineers is another problem with our education system. The humanities and social sciences get short shrift, and kids grow up not knowing our history, the world's history, how our government and economy work, how to construct a proper sentence or logical argument, or how to critically analyze a problem or another's argument.
