Childish and naive. That's funny. I think you are the one that resorts to insults when you can't get your point across. I think it's clear who the childish and naive one is.

Now if you think T-Bills are the way to go, I challenge you to take any 20 year period and compare any large basket of stocks with T-Bill performance. I think you will be disappointed with T-Bills.

If you are retired, then T-Bills wouldn't be too bad of a place to be. However, social security isn't just for retired people. It's a way for people to save for their future. As such, they should invest in age appropriate assets. For a 20 or 30 year old, T-Bills aren't it. I'm sorry you don't understand this simple concept. You and the rest of America's lack of understanding will cost our children dearly.

However, I do agree that we probably can't afford a $2 trillion investment at this point, even if it proves to be a positive NPV.
