Maybe so. But here's the thing. The way this country works is that if you just fix SS, then you'll never be able to sell privatization. So you have to use the SS crisis to sell privatization. That is what Bush is doing. So although, I agree with you that solvency is a more urgent priority, I have never in my lifetime seen the chances so high for reform of SS. If they don't get privatization done now, then they'll never get it done. So I'd like to see it get done.
