The only lies in that post are yours.

BTW, I asked you about Social Security, not Iraq. Try to stay focused for a sec, if you can.

Now, please do as I asked and point me specifically to anything that Bush has said about Social Security that is a lie.

The fact is that the fictional reserve of money called the "trust fund" will run out of its imagined hoards of money some time around the middle of this century. Your nitpicking of the exact year is just a stupid distraction - a red herring. It is also a fact that the paygo system will be cash flow negative in the latter part of the next decade - around 2018 is, I think, the consensus estimate. And even more importantly, in 2008, just three years from now, the amount of money the SS "surplus" contributes to covering and hiding the real deficit in the rest of government will start shrinking. In other words, the hidden part of the deficit will become less and less hidden and instead of writing itself IOUs for the trust fund money, the government will have to access the financial markets directly more and more just to maintain existing spending programs.

You can sit there and repeat the Democrat line all you want, but burying your head in the sand and denying there's a problem is just plain idiotic. And the Democrat "leadership" feeding you that crap is a pack of irresponsible liars.
