So are you saying one must GROW the rainbow carrots? They are not available at Trader Joe's or Whole Foods? It will be almost six months before I can plant anything because the soil is so cold! I do suppose carrots are relatively hardy in the cold, however.

Cool! Yes, let's make carrots exciting again! Didn't know the dour Dutch were responsible for orange carrots.

Went to a Wild Oats yesterday looking for them, and they had no idea what I was talking about. They suggested I try the Asian markets, but the lady at the market I went to didn't know what I was talking about either. From your link I gather it's a brand new thing, so when I grow some this season I'll have to bring some over and show them.

But I did find some purple potatoes and picked up some Yukon Gold potatoes, just because they look so weird...
