The big journals (especially Science) continue to show a big interest. I have a few suggestions. You might search out nanotech companies. I don't know if this can be done through Hoover's or not, maybe you need a subscription there. You can probably do this through Google but you'll probably have to sift through a bunch of irrelevant hits wanting you to refi your home or take vacations or buy a cheap Rolex or something. Once you have a list of companies, get on their websites and see what they are doing. I'm sure you have already done a lot of this already, but my only point here is that I find company websites to be a very good source of information, at least for an initial sort. Another way might be to search PubMed for the major journals, then look at the affiliations of the authors of papers related to nanotechnology. Often they publish papers and list commercial affiliations in the citation. This approach might also give you some clues as to where the R&D is going. The authors also have to list potential conflicts of interest, and these might be a helpful source of clues. Sometimes they publish accompanying commentaries written by experts, and these are frequently more valuable in many ways than the papers themselves. If you are unfamiliar with PubMed and need any help searching efficiently, let me know and I can tell you exactly how to search to find the info above. PubMed is a pretty good search engine, but the database is huge. T
