I wish I was, but then again being rich is relative. I make a good enough living and I'm smart enough about my retirement plans, that I'll never need a penny from social security. That means, I'm free to criticize and free to not need the gov't for any kind of assistance. One of my criticisms is that Bush's tax cuts should not have eliminated the taxes at the highest tax rate. Instead, he should have created a new, even higher bracket, in order to offset the cuts at the lower brackets. If he'd done that, then we might not have deficits right now and solving other problems would be easier to contemplate.
