You and Tom C are having fun digging for transitional fossils (making you "Googleologists"?) Is your point that the fossil evidence now proves that evolution is a scientific fact and no longer merely a theory?

Well, I'm sorry, but I think the scientists and evolutionists are on my side. Here is what some of them say (with plenty of context). Of course, you two may be better informed as Googleologists. (I can give you a lot more of similar quotes if you wish).

"The absence of fossil evidence for intermediary stages between major transitions in organic design, indeed our inability, even in our imagination, to construct functional intermediates in many cases, has been a persistent and nagging problem for gradualistic accounts of evolution." Anything truly novel always seemed to appear quite abruptly in the fossil record."
