we are total agreement on that. the 88-92 area on the xau has been a key reversal area for both support and resistance in each of the last few years. a break of 88 and i really dont see why that wouldnt lead to a test of 76-82 from a technical perspective. fundamentally, i dont even think we should be below 100 xau but i have only followed the miners for about a year now, so am not one to judge the industry based on FA.

your instincts have served you well on this decline as well. i have traded the miners once in december and once in jan with modest gains and then got out. fridays entry gets me back in just below my last entrry with a few percent gains in the bank. that would ease a dump to 90 on xau where at a minimum i would expect a bounce to 93/95 xau.
