Mostly, I believe in self-reliance. I feel that entitlement systems are a one way ticket to bankrupting this country. So I want to see more people put in charge of their own finances and I want to see less of government intervention in our lives. The governement does a few things very well, like using the military to defend us, policing our cities, providing a judicial system to handle criminals and civil issues, and in forming political and trade alliances with other nations. I don't think the government functions very well when it comes to managing my finances or that of my kids. That is where I draw the line.
