Yes, good point
This may be partly due to gold buying in Europe and Asia. If the yen and euro are strong there is less of a reason to buy gold and gold investments. Gold as an investment has a lot more popularity in general outside the U.S.
This is consistent with my point that the SAs should rally on European buying if the Euro is weak. Just something to watch. The Euro and gold should begin to decouple here.

here are the results of the survey about the top being in for the year on the nas with a total of 25 posters voting:

36% said top not in and nas will exceed 2300
24% said top not in and nas will exceed 2200
20% said the top was already in
16% said not enough info yet
4% chose not to answere

i chose not enough info fwiw. i am tilting towards yes but am not there yet. this was a survey run on IHUB to get a feel for sentiment on the coming months.
