I think Jimmi Johnson will be watching the film of Atlanta' s at home 6-3 victory to Arizona and their being annihilated by Tampa Bay 27-0. Eagles match up well to Vicks weakness, heavy complex blitzing, and Kearse is a monster for containing Vick. I think the object is to contain the lanes, and thus take the running lanes away from Vick, force him to pass. And both Dawkins and Lewis hit hard--the Rams defense against Vick and Dunn was pathetic(i mean i watched it, they were terrible). I honestly feel we can keep Falcons below 6 points---i am going with a 17-6 score if weather proves to be what is forecast as in 20s with snow showers on Sunday. Watch Trotter be signed to a a 5-7 year contract before free agency season starts. To think Trotter took a roughly 1million one year contract to play with Eagles this year. I estimate with Redskins he , counting signing bonus, came out with 13million dollars for 2 years work. Last time he wanted 6.5 million a year and Redskins gave it to him. Trotter WANTS tp play with Eagles and Eagles know he is a better player now than when he was all-pro with them. Can they get his signature for 3.5 million for 7 years with a signing bonus of 3million? I am convinced Trotter will adjust contract to our cap situation. We need sign Simon, also. Freddie is gone if any team produces dollars(signing bonus vital)and have real need--Tampa Bay maybe, also Chargers.(Freddie could be a fine fit with Gates). Freddie can't be expected to surrender to being a #3/#4 receiver. We are high on Greg Lewis and we have locked into a contract. McMullen? If he is they diagnose terminal bad hands he is gone. i do know Reid wants to keep Freddie, as Reid is big on having intelligent/just plain smart players with lockeroom vitality---Freddie has a car-load of personality and is a good person---Reid is huge on character. That is what sold him on T.O. he went behind all the noise and the on field persona and found he is a highly intelligent good person totally driven to be the best he can possibly be. Reading how Terrell Owens became T.O, is a strange story--as Terrell says he is T.O. only on Game Day and if he thought he could make it as an actor he quit football for being an actor. Westbrook is another, he is completing or has completed his Masters degree at Villanova and in some subject of note(can't remember what it was.) Man look at the the undrafted free-agents we have developed, Rayburn, Hicks, Greg Lewis and Darrell Walker. I want the super bowl ring THIS year. But gees this team is going to be OVERLOADED with talent next year, with Shawn Andrews , Kalu, T.O. and Buckhalter back( maybe--can he comeback again?) Plus 5 picks in the first 3 rounds in the draft, and 13 picks overall. reid says injury to Runyan seems minor and he will be ready Sunday. Simoneau and Chad Lewis will likely be ready. Ike Reese is a great non-every down player--the mere fact he is our best special teams player, he will be with Eagles for years to come.
