We have had some Presidents better than others. Personally I think Eisenhower and Carter were two stand-outs, while I have an exceedingly low opinion of Reagan. I'm aware the opinion of much of the mob disagrees with me on these perceptions, but this only affirms the soundness of my observations. It's true, that of the three Presidents mentioned I have met only Reagan. Were it possible to meet the other two, I agree there is a slim possibility I may find them utterly objectionable as well. Perhaps familiarity does indeed breed contempt.

The division of powers in our government is a unique strength which protects us from the short-term delusions of the misinformed and the evil. However, our republican form of government encourages dishonesty, graft, and governmental actions which do not represent the people.

Noam Chomsky once said that the Founding Fathers modeled our republican form of government after the Roman republicans of their imagination. Much to their horror and dismay they recreated the corrupt Roman republicans of historical fact.
