This shows the problem with the republicans way of looking at the world. You can only see two choices. Attack Saddam or hide your head in the sand. There are other alternatives.

Using the intl community to continue to turn up the heat on Saddam, while not working perfectly, was having an effect. Enough of an effect, as we've found out recently, to show that continuing it's efforts would have been fruitful.

This war was unnecessary. Nothing can be done about that. We are there and must finish the job. It is the next time we are faced with this decision that bothers me. That is why I post. From the facts about this war it is clear that we shouldn't have invaded when we did.

People will say, "Well you're looking at this in hindsight." Well, those that don't learn from history will be doomed to repeat it.
