If you have EVER opened a chart, it won't take the default style but will instead keep teh style used on it the last time it was opened. Only charts that have never been opened will use the default.

I can't recall off the top of my head how to change all your old charts to default but as I recall when I did it, it was a real pain. I think I basically created a whole new set of folders of my stocks and indexes then deleted all my old ones so that I as far as MetaStock was concerned, my whole setup was new and all charts opened with the new default setup.

Keep in mind if you do this, all your old trendlines etc will be gone since it is a new chart. Copying those over with the "copy chart" feature will defeat the whole purpose and likely copy the "old default" style.

Again, not sure, I recall going through your pain and getting over it eventually but that it was hard and frustrating.

Good Luck,

Lee
