My thoughts and frustrations (to Calculated Risk) after a morning of farting around with "blogging", nothing easy about it all, as far as formatting:

Your template won't work for me, because I need a few things to make it flow into the analysis I do. I don't want people digging into archives and having to follow linear posts for this. Whenever they read something I write, they should be able to go the Winterisms or Lab tools right then and there, plus have links to go down deeper on any concept that I put forward, sort of "deeper" levels. I don't need to just post, I'm already doing that at SI, and besides I'm usually trying to relate posts to some concept, so I have a keen a visualization of this, and what it should look like. I just have a very poor ability to use tabs, and strange format tools, they make no sense to me. And so far I have found nothing at the Blogger site (and I spent over two hours) that even remotely teaches me to do this. Frankly I sort of surmised awhile back when this Blogging came out that it would be inferior or require a big learning hurdle. Or maybe there really are some basic concepts that are workable, but I can't tell, and have no idea how to find out. Perhaps I'll give you my password and you can play around with it, and in turn quickly (as neither of us has too much time for this I'm sure) teach me. Otherwise I'm not going to pursue it.

Clear simple needs: First the Winterisms language definitions. I need a clean quite visible box that readers can readily see(not a link at the bottom of one of my musings)that I can go into and make constant additions, or changes. There might also be links within this so for example when I talk about GLD, I have a link to the GLD site showing the gold tonnage held. Or if I mention flucht in die sachwerte, the definition links to the Von Mises essay on this. I think that's how most intelligent people learn, and I don't want this to be just at a dilettante level (which is what many blogs sites are). It's the key otherwise people won't quite get what I'm talking about. Then I need a lab tools section clearly visible on the right (or left) column. Then I need a site link column similar to what you have, and of course an archives. I'd like my "about me" down at the bottom, sort of out of the way. It might appear a bit like this:
