Mish, wouldn't SEC prosecute the Auto Industry if they were to indulge in Channel Stuffing as you seem to suspect auto industry in that regard?

Was INTC, AMD, CSCO or anyone else prosecuted for channel stuffing?

That just happens to be the way "sales" are reported. When they are crammed down dealer's throats. Do dealer's have a choice in taking those cars or not? What happens if they do not sell? Who is stuck? Can they "send them back" to GM (un-selling them?)

If the sec is serious then this will really get fun! Let's see what happens when they target CSCO, INTC, GM, GE, and everyone else.

How is it possible for the SEC to know what is the proper level of inventory in any industry?
