"Evolution has nothing to say about the beginning of the universe..."

The topic under discussion is the 'theory of evolution', not adaptation and survival of the fittest through adaptation...which we all recognise as an observable phenomenon.

The 'theory of evolution' reaches out to the mysteries of the universe and attempts to explain them by extrapolating the rules for adaptation and applying them as theoretical explanations. Get it?

"As the theory of evolution by natural selection has become universally accepted in the scientific community, it has replaced other explanations including creationism"

"Theory..." Claims to replace the creation explanation.
