Baloney. No one wants to stop all growth silly. Stop getting your daily Lush Limbot kool-aide and learn to think rationally and independently. Considering our lack of information about the long term consequences of anything (Eat Fish! Don't eat fish the mercury will kill ya!), it's best to err on the side of extreme caution. In addition to which, why would anyone want to be the environmental basket case that China is headed towards? In addition to which, environmental safeguards help US cities clean up their air. It used to be that, on a bad day, there was a thick yellow fog in parts of LA. Some days you couldn't see down a city block. Do you want to breathe that in so that some corporation can make a few extra pennies? If so, why? No one knows why so many named glaciers have simply disappeared. No one knows why that ozone hole the size of a country appears. NO ONE KNOWS. Heck, we couldn't predict the tsunami until it was already too late. We don't know much. Therefore, the adult thing to do is to be cautious.
