I am optimistic too, but it takes some time to turn over the US fleet of vehicles.

Where I live in California you see a number of hybrids, but you have to look for them between all the H2s and Suburbans. The average size of vehicles today is mind boggling.

I d/n think we'll see a repeat of the long gas lines from '73-74.


Long lines and shortages have one origin, price controls. If price had been allowed to pass through as it did during both gulf wars then there would never have been those lines.
