I wish that science would concern itself with the questions and answers that matter most to me and most thinking people. (Instead, as Kuhn describes, scientists labor under comfortable umbrellas of paradigm systems they are compelled to believe in, doing the mundane "mopping-up" tasks of patching small holes that need fixing). The questions I would like answered are the ones like these that go to the core of explaining my very existence (if indeed I really do "exist"):

Why was I put here?
Where am I going (as this planet hurtles through space at the speed of light)?
Will the expansion of the universe ever end? (And if so, what lies beyond that?)
Did time begin at some point? (If so, who or what started it?)
Will time come to an end? (If so, what comes after that?)
If the universe began with a bang, what was there beforehand?
Who or what caused the bang?

Now these are questions you can sink your teeth into. I wish the scientists would put away the mops and take them on.
