At 6% a year the interest would have covered that. Large firm that wrote a lot of letters to each other for 15 years. No will or trust and all the heirs were from out of state and had never known her.

Kind of an odd thing, the lady across the road died 5 years ago leaving every thing to her 2 sons, one in town and the other in Florida. The boys don't get along and the one here is in charge of the estate. The house is still in her name and the utilities have been shut off since she died. Many have tried to buy the house but the son here won't sell it, it's just rotting away.
